Serie A: Como Defeat Fiorentina 2-0 to Boost Safety Prospects

Como pulled away from the Serie A relegation zone on Sunday with a convincing 2-0 away win at Fiorentina.

Assane Diao and Nico Paz struck in each half to give Como a surprise success in Florence, which snapped a three-match losing streak and moved them up to 13th.

Cesc Fabregas’ team are five points above Parma. Who sit just inside the relegation zone and host Roma later on Sunday, after a deserved win at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Wealthy Como invested heavily in the winter transfer window in the hope of staying in Serie A, and Diao netted his fourth goal in seven matches since arriving from Real Betis in January.

But Argentina international Paz has แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ the star of the show at Como, and he sealed the win in the 66th minute with a rocket of a shot. Which took his league tally to six goals.

Disappointing Fiorentina miss the chance to move into fifth place above Juventus, who face a grudge match with Inter Milan in Turin later on Sunday.

The first quarter of an hour of the second half was tarnishe by scuffles and off-the-ball incidents. Play was stop three times within the space of five minutes. Which end in bookings for Micahel Folorunsho and Edoardo Goldaniga.

Como went on to double their advantage through Nico Paz two thirds of the way through proceedings. A sloppy passage of Fiorentina play saw them dispossessed in their own half by Alex Valle, before Lucas Da Cunha played it to the Argentine, who hit one in off the post from the edge of the area for 2-0.

Reigning champions Inter will go top of the league should. They beat Juventus. After current leaders Napoli were held to a 2-2 draw at fourth-placed Lazio on Saturday evening. A win for Juventus would move Thiago Motta’s team above Lazio on goal difference.
